The Best Exercise for Losing Belly Fat (That No One Is Talking About)

Researchers recently discovered an exercise that helps shed belly fat and reveal those long-lost abs.

Previously, experts thought this wasn’t possible.

“You can’t target belly fat through exercise,” they said.

But nobody thought of this exercise.

It’s an exercise like no other, with wild potential to reveal your abs.

The diet exercise.

LOL.

I wish you could burn belly fat directly through exercise. Unfortunately, you can’t. No amount of crunches will melt away the fat covering your abs.

If you want to lose belly fat, you need to address your nutrition.

Here’s how this works: when you diet properly and achieve a caloric deficit, your body is forced to use stored body fat for fuel. When this happens, your body pulls fat from fat stores across the entire body causing fat to come off in thin sheets, much like peeling an onion. For most people, you will see abdominal definition around 15% body fat. This takes most people months of consistent dieting to start to see their abs. For example, it took my client 20 weeks of consistency to reveal his abs for the first time in years:

The more body fat you have to lose, the longer it will take. While I wish it could happen quicker for people, there is no way around this. There is no hacking your way to abs. There is no quick fix for removing your belly fat overnight.

That being said, here's how to put this “diet exercise” into practice with 3 simple steps:

1. Track your calories and create a moderate deficit.

Start by eating around 500-1000 calories below your daily maintenance needs. This will roughly equate to 1-2 Ibs of fat loss per week, which is a significant yet sustainable rate of fat loss for most people.

2. Prioritize foods that fill you up with less.

You have probably tried dieting before only to feel super hungry. This is why diets fail. To overcome this, include foods that are high on the satiety index, which is a measure of how filling and satisfying a food is. These include foods such as lean proteins, potatoes, beans, whole grains, vegetables, and fruit. The great thing about these foods is despite being highly filling, they don’t come with a ton of calories, helping you eat less without hunger.

3. Build a routine and standardize your diet.

Fat loss takes time. You need to execute consistently for months to see meaningful results, and that won’t happen if you wake up every day and “just try to figure it out.” All my most successful clients build a standardized routine that they enjoy and that also helps them hit their goals. They find a handful of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and go to healthy restaurants, and rinse and repeat. When you figure this out, eating well becomes automatic, and you will no longer have to rely on sheer willpower to lose weight.

If you don’t want to figure this out on your own, at The Six Pack Dad Tribe, we will take the guess work out of it for you. We will install our sustainable fat loss system into your life, and help you execute consistently so you can achieve your goals and sustain them long term.
